Dave’s Private Reserve Honey LLC is located on the home property of Dave and Sonja Craighead on the east edge of Ft. Collins, Colorado. Our 30 acre small farm was purchased by us in January 1982.
The previous two owners, dating back to 1966 had never used and chemicals of any kind, insecticides or herbicides, or any form of weed killers.
This pristine property is truly a chemical free haven.
Over the 44 years that we’ve lived here we have planted thousands of pollinating plants (trees, shrubs, flowers, and herbs) Most of them are established perineal plants, some reseed themselves from year to year, and some are annually hand planted.
All bee-keepers use sugar water to additionally nourish their hives. We only use water through an ultra violet water filtration system and unbleached organic, non GMO sugar. Truly our 10 thriving bee hives are cared for and live on a property that has been meticulously cared for to ensure their good health.
